AADOCR Announces 2022 Recipients of the AADOCR/CADR Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators

Alexandria, VA – The American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) announced two recipients of the AADOCR/CADR Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators. The awards were announced during the Opening Ceremonies of the hybrid 51st Annual Meeting of the AADOCR, held in conjunction with the 46th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research (CADR), on March 21-26, 2022.

First Place Winner:
Archana Kamalakar
Harnessing the Mechanism of JAGGED1- Mediated Craniofacial Bone Regeneration
Emory University, Atlanta, GA

Second Place Winner:
Chukwuebuka Ogwo
Prediction of Caries in Young Adults Using Machine Learning Approach
Temple University, Philadelphia, PA

Monetary Awards include $8,000 USD to the First Place Winner, $6,000 USD to the Second Place Winner and $500 USD to each of the eight runners up. The two winners will go on to compete in the IADR Joseph Lister Award for New Investigators competition at the IADR/APR General Session & Exhibition in June 2022. The awards are managed by the IADR and supported by Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. The Awards Competition was created to award new investigators with original research in oral disease prevention or oral health promotion.
